It hasn’t snowed this year yet, but I thought I’d post this scene of my back yard from a few years back, before a house was built beyond the fence. Scenic to the max!

Seattle’s viaduct is still with us, but not for very much longer after the tunnel is completed. I will miss these views.

In Seattle, it’s remarkable how close to the calendar the turn of the season feels. This week begins Fall, and sure enough, the trees are coloring up quite nicely.

I live south of Seattle, just a few minutes from a cove on Puget Sound. There is smoke from nearby wildfires, and the weather people promised us a colorful sunset. Delivered!

The tiny streets of San Miguel de Allende are much better for pedestrians than auto traffic. All the buildings in the center of town must be painted in earth tones.
