Took these a couple of days ago after the first storms in the rainy series we’ve been having. It rained four inches in two days! Now we’ve given up hope of patio living and have taken the patio furniture inside, but this is how it looked. Be sure to scroll to view second photo.

Took this yesterday in a break from the heavy rain we’ve been having. Roses don’t really like a lot of rain and if you know more is coming, you might as well pick the ones you have and enjoy the bouquet before they get too battered. Isn’t this a pretty one?

The sunny weather finally ended, and we’re looking at at least a week or two of rain and showers. Today I was out after a meeting in Wallingford and saw this rose still showing the rain from a few minutes before. I just can’t seem to get enough roses lately, but I think the rain coming up will put an end to them for this year.

The great thing about Skywatch Friday is the amount of looking up we all do now. This scene was from a hardware store parking lot. You can see showers falling a few miles away, but all was balmy and beautiful overhead.

This is from a neighborhood yard. Such a lovely specimen of a Japanese Maple. I love this photo and hope you don’t mind me counting raindrops as water for Watery Wednesday.

Watery Wednesday is here, and all is dry today here in Seattle, but a few weeks ago this pond told a different story.

Today is my dear sister-in-law Shree’s birthday. We were together in the fabulous Steinhardt Garden in Mt. Kiscoe recently, and what a photo op she provided with her slicker and umbrella. A Ruby Tuesday post just for you, and many happy returns!

This was taken from a moving car on the way to Portland last spring. We never got to experience the rain that the skies promised since we were long gone by the time the deluge hit.
